Ergonomic tools

What are ergonomic tools for workplace ergonomics?

mployees across healthcare, logistics, manufacturing, and hospitality face high physical demands during daily work activities. Pushing, pulling, and maneuvering beds, lifts, trolleys and other mobile equipment can exceed recommended ergonomic force guidelines, leading to physical strain and musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). To address these challenges, esense offers ergonomic tools that provide insight, raise awareness, and support healthier working practices.

Our ergonomic tools are practical and data-driven solutions that transform workplaces into safer and healthier environments.

Esense Impact Analysis

The Esense Impact Analysis is a comprehensive tool that combines measurement results, costs, and impact, and provides insights into actual working conditions and opportunities for ergonomic improvement. It consists of two key components:

  • Health Analysis: Gives insights in the actual work situation, considering all factors that impact physical load and the international guidelines for pushing and pulling. Also push and pull force measurements can be visualized.
  • ROI Analysis: Provides clear insight into the costs and potential return on investment of implementing an esense system.
  • Read how an industrial company saved 5,840 hours in 10 years, thanks to the Esense Impact Analysis

Esense Ergometer

Esense Ergometer

The esense Ergometer is a measuring device that attaches directly to the push bar of any mobile equipment. It measures push and pull forces in real work situations, delivering immediate and reliable feedback. This results in a measurement report:

  • Shows physical strain per employee
  • Identifies how often health and safety guidelines are exceeded
  • Highlights risks of physical overload injuries

Awareness is the first step toward prevention. With the Ergometer, risks become visible, enabling organizations to take targeted action before problems arise.

Ergo App

The Ergo App is a Windows application that connects with any esense product. It enables live measurement of push and pull forces, making ergonomic risks visible in real time.

How? A tablet or laptop is connected to the product, and while using this product, a live force graph shows peak forces. It directly shows when excessive push/pull force is used while pushing or pulling. The results can be processed in the Esense Impact Analysis, helping organizations move from raw data to insights into workplace ergonomics.

PowerTalk

PowerTalk

PowerTalk is a user-friendly application designed to connect with esense products. It serves as a service and diagnostic tool, and also gives ergonomic insights:

  • Supports technical optimization of equipment
  • Collects ergonomic data such as time, distance driven, and applied push and pull forces
  • Provides valuable insights into workload and strain over time

By turning usage data into ergonomic knowledge, PowerTalk helps organizations monitor and improve ergonomic working practices.

Ergo-feedback for patient lifts ergonomics

Ergo-feedback for patient lifts ergonomics

Ergo-feedback alerts users with blinking LEDs on the hand control, when too much force is being used. This indicates how to correctly use the drive assistance system. The direct feedback helps users work within health and safety guidelines and helps prevent physical overload.

What others say

"...rewarded for making only a small physical effort."

“The more gentle you control the lift, the easier it moves. You are rewarded for making only a small physical effort.”

“…control the lift with just a finger!”

“The days we needed our full body weight to move the patient are history. Now we control the lift with just a finger.”
